Abstract

Continuity in family practice has been a basic principle of family medicine. Classically, it was personal care based on the contact between the family doctor and the patient. The concept of continuity changes in connection with changes in the community. A new lifestyle of doctors and patients, new medical technology and the electronic database benefit the development a new concept of continuity of care in family medicine.
