Abstract

The correlation analysis of the negative factors having an impact on the quality of life of psoriasis patients indicated that persons who are disturbed by skin eruptions and itching suffer more than the rest. Of psoriasis patients 20% had strong or very strong disturbing effects of itching. Good treatment effects were achieved in patients who had no relationship problems with their family, who were more prone to search for solutions in conflict situations; who were younger and whose illness was not chronic and who had psoriasis localisata. In treatment of psoriatic patients, elimination of itching is of vital importance.
