Articles PDF

Abstract

Paraduodenal hernias are rare constituting < 1% of all bowel obstruction cases. Computed tomography is the golden standard method for diagnosis. Laparoscopic surgery is preferred, however, the rate of conversion to laparotomy is high. The current report presents a male patient with a left-sided paraduodenal hernia treated at the North Estonia Medical Centre.
