Abstract
Due to advancements in clinical research, modern healthcare has advanced significantly, allowing us to make evidence-based decisions in our daily work. However, the real-life effectiveness of evidence-based treatment methods may vary from clinical trial outcomes, as health systems function in a more intricate and less controlled environment. To test the effectiveness of proven interventions in real-life settings, pragmatic, hybrid, and implementation research methods are increasingly popular. These types of studies often make use of routinely collected health data and analyse various factors that hinder or support implementation. Applying a more pragmatic approach to clinical trials helps to build a bridge between clinical science and practice, and to accelerate the integration of evidencebased interventions into public health.
