Abstract

A 42-year-old male presented with macroscopic haematuria, initially diagnosed as a cavernous haemangioma of the bladder via
TURB in 2020. A follow-up was missed, and in 2023, severe haematuria led to the discovery of an 8 cm bladder mass. Emergency TURB failed to control bleeding, necessitating open bladder resection. Histopathology revealed an aggressive angiomyxoma, a rare mesenchymal tumour typically seen in women and rarely reported in the bladder.
This case highlights the diagnostic and management challenges posed by rare tumours, emphasizing the importance of follow-up and surgical expertise. Although angiomyxomas are generally benign, their aggressive behaviour requires careful monitoring to prevent complications.
