Abstract
Solitatry fibrous tumours (SFT ) are uncommon tumours of mesenchymal origin, which can be hormonally active and cause paraneoplastic syndromes. Hypoglycaemia accompanying SFT is caused by the production of insulin-like growth factor-II and is known under the name of Doege-Potter syndrome. Here we describe two cases of hypoglycaemia induced by pleural solitary fibrous tumours that were successfully cured by tumour resection.
