Abstract

In this article we outline some of the most important aspects and principles in the modern treatment of midline incisional hernia, adjuvant techniques in managing complicated cases, and discuss three short case reports that illustrate their application in real clinical practice. These include the first reported use of eTEP and preoperative pneumoperitoneum in managing midline incisional hernias in Estonia.
