Abstract
Palmoplantar pustular psoriasis (PPP) is a subtype of psoriasis characterized by the development of sterile pustules on palms and/or soles with or without erythematous plaques. Considering the disease’s localization, PPP strongly affects quality of life. Extensive research in the field of psoriasis vulgaris has enabled the use of targeted therapy for psoriasis in everyday practice.
However, too little attention has been paid to peculiarities of PPP. This article provides an overview of pathogenesis, clinical picture and treatment options of PPP based on literature and a case report.
