Their VO2max was measured on a running treadmill using the Conconi protocol. The mean (\u00b1SD) VO2max of the study subjects was 2.24 \u00b1 0.45 l min-1 as the absolute value and 39.35 \u00b1 6.92 ml min-1 kg-1relative to body mass.
