Today beside various occlusal situations, there exist also aesthetical and psychological indications. Thereby it is important to know the patient\u2019s psychological background and his or her feelings about teeth. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is an association between the professional\u2019s opinion and the child\u2019s feelings about teeth. A total of 124 children completed questionnaire in the dentist\u2019s office before they started orthodontic treatment.<br \/>\nOrthodontists seem to give a more critical opinion about malocclusion and the need for treatment. There was found a weak correlation between the child\u2019s satisfaction with his\/her teeth and the orthodontist\u2019s opinion about occlusion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through the years, indications for orthodontic treatment have been changed.
