Abstract
A review is presented of joint scientific projects and of the results of clinical investigations and discussions. The longtime cooperation between Estonian and Finnish neurologists and neurosurgeons was a success. Altogether 16 joint meetings were held in Finland and in Estonia between 1973 and 1991. These contacts were especially fruitful and beneficial for Estonian specialists who were cut off from many sources of information in the Soviet period. The forms of contacts and cooperation changed with the restoration of independence of Estonia but professional relations are continuing.
