Abstract

Injury related deaths reduce more years of life in the global population compared to all cardiac and cancer related deaths combined. Traumatic deaths in Estonia are among the highest in the European Union. The purpose of the current article was to review the Estonian trauma system and outcomes of severely injured trauma victims.
