Abstract

Cognitive assessment provides important information for managing patients with various neurologic and psychiatric conditions. In the assessment different tests and tasks are used, analysing both their quantitative results and qualitative performance. Such assessment helps to specify the level of patient’s intellectual abilities, the nature of cognitive complaints and possible reasons that may cause these complaints, as well as to plan interventions. Neuropsychological examinations are important in assessing the patient’s level of functional ability.
