Abstract

Traumatic digit amputation is a major injury that occurs mostly in young, working patients and affect patients’ physical function and psychological wellbeing. Replantation of amputated digits can restore the function and appearance of the hand. Although the number of patients with traumatic finger amputations in Estonia is not remarkably high, there is still a need for a hand surgery centre.
