Abstract

Gastric perforation is a rare cause of acute abdomen in puerperium. Its non-specific symptomatology may cause difficulties in diagnostics. The majority of common diagnostic methods can be misleading due to physiological pneumoperitoneum present after caesarean section. Based on a literature review, this case report gives a survey of the problems related to the diagnosis of gastric perforation in puerperium.
